Who is it for?
Our scheme insurance can accommodate a wide variety of complementary therapy types. These would generally sit within the broad classifications shown under:
- Alternative Medical Systems, often founded from ancient practices and historical cultures and including activities such as Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Traditional Chinese Medicine
- Mind-Body relation therapies that rely on the mind’s ability to facilitate and influence physical change. Activities would include Hypnosis, Meditation, Mental & Absent Healing, Art, Drama and Music Therapy etc.
- Therapies reliant on dietary regulation and/or the ingestion of supplementary preparations, including Herbalism, Dietary Supplementation and Nutritional Therapy and Advice
- Bodyworks and Manipulation including Aromatherapy, many Massage types, Reflexology etc.
Our massage cover is simply split between two options:- Massage (standard) – includes all the types/forms of massage you are qualified to practise excluding sports massage, deep tissue massage & wet cupping, or…
- Massage (incl. Sports massage & Deep tissue massage) – includes all the types/forms of massage you are qualified to practise including sports massage and/or deep tissue massage but excluding wet cupping.
- Energy based therapies that use energy fields and which include many types of Energy Healing and such activities as Reiki, Qi Gong, Therapeutic Touch etc.
Beauty Therapists
We can cover many of the usual beauty therapies such as those mentioned below:
Beauty Therapist – includes non-acupuncture facials, eye lash and eyebrow perming, shaping & tinting, eye lash extensions, facial massage, make-up application, pedicures, foot spas (excluding fish pedicures), manicures, nail treatments, spray tanning, waxing, sugaring & threading, masks and wrapping treatments. Unfortunately, we cannot generally offer cover for beauty treatments falling outside the definition shown above.
Hairdressing & Barbering can also be covered (includes styling, drying, crimping, plaiting, cutting, colouring, perming and permanent waving).
Treatment Rooms, Centres and Clinics can all be insured under the scheme too.
